Exams can be pretty stressful. π€π€π€
But there are ways to reduce that stress. ππ½ππ½ππ½
One of the best ways to reduce stress during exams is by having study timetable. This is basically a schedule of what you are going to study when.ποΈ
And it means that when you are studying you can just focus on studying, without worrying about what you need to study or whether you can get through everything. πππ
So this is a step by step guide on how to create that study timetable:
Step 1:
Find a piece of paper and add all the dates from today until the end of your exam season to that page. The result will be something like this:
β
If you have access to a printer you can just print this out, but if not use a ruler to make the lines then write in the dates. It's pretty simple and will take about 5 minutes. ππ
Step 2:
Find your exam timetable and add in all the dates of your exams. πππ
If you are writing National Exams the Department of Education. πππ
If you are writing exams that your teachers' are setting, ask them to release the timetable as soon as possible so that you can start planning your study schedule!
Step 3:
Once you have your timetable you will probably notice that your exams are not spread out evenly. For some exams you will have a many days to study, for others you won't have a single free day before the exam. This is obviously super annoying, but it's why you are creating this study timetable. πΆπΆπΆ
What's important is that you look for the exams that will be difficult to study forπ (e.g. if you are writing two exams on one day, or don't have any free days to study before the exam). Then look at where you have breaks between exams, and try fit in time to study for the exams that will be difficult to study for.
This way you will be planning for the stressful periods during the less stressful periods, and making sure that you are prepared for all the exams. πππ
And whatever you do, don't try and wing it and start studying the day before you write. ππΏβοΈππΏβοΈππΏβοΈ Having a plan will always make studying easier. So use the method above if you find it helpful, or another one that works better for you, but make sure that you are planning for the exam period. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
